John Matthews
John Matthews is Tabb High’s salutatorian, having graduated with a 4.7346 grade point average.
He is the 18-year-old son of Mark and Christy Matthews. He intends to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Matthews was an athlete at Tabb, participating on the swim and cross country teams. He was a member of the Scholastic Bowl and also enjoys playing computer games and kayaking.
In the community, Matthews was a volunteer for the local chapter of the American Red Cross, Yorktown Victory Center and the Peninsula Food Bank.
Most important thing I learned in high school: Treat your teachers/faculty well.
